Great Habits For Dental CareYour dental care habits play an essential role in protecting your teeth and in keeping them healthy – here are a few things that you should do to have shiny, healthy teeth:

  • Regular brushing – brush your teeth at least two times a day, once in the morning and once before you go to bed in the evening. Use a medium hard brush and fluoride toothpaste;
  • Use an antibacterial mouthwash after each brushing – mouthwashes remove the bacteria that are still left in your mouth after the brushing and they also maintain your breath fresh between two brushing sessions;
  • Use dental floss – flossing is an essential dental cleaning operation that makes sure impurities, such as food residues are removed from the small spaces between adjacent teeth that cannot be efficiently cleaned with a toothbrush. Use your floss once a day, after brushing your teeth, preferably in the evening;
  • Don’t stress your teeth – avoid chewing on hard things, such as candy or nuts and don’t use your teeth for opening bottles or for cracking walnuts open;
  • Visit your dentist regularly – if you take proper dental hygiene seriously, your teeth will probably stay strong and healthy, but even so, schedule a check-up with one of the Denver dentists every 6 months to make sure you have no incipient cavities or oral inflammations.
